In today’s interconnected world its highly important to be in touch and the ability to be in touch and check emails, browse the web and organize yourself. Also with mobiles replacing many devices from Cameras to gaming devices its no doubt that mobiles are getting most functionality in a computer these days. We have also see a lot of development and newer features from the Windows Mobiles OSs ( and others) and the Hardware part of it too. Looking at what we can do using a Windows Mobile Smartphone is vast however let me list a few.
a. Check Mails “where ever your are”: This being the most important use of a Smartfone for a professional. Using a windows mobile means that you are not forced to have a blackberry plan, etc. Any kind of Internet Plan form you provider will do, You could even use WiFi in you home and Office. Also users can choose between POP/SMTP, many other protocols and many applications.
b. Browsing: Smartphones may account for only small percentage but it’s no doubt that it’s a rapidly growing market and has huge growth potential. How many times have you been mobile / onroad and wanted to visit a website, A windows mobile will enable you to do that with Internet Explorer on Mobile ( and Opera mini and other browsers too)
c. Organize yourself: Organize your appointments and reminders with the calendar. Synchronize your calendar to mails with your laptop or desktop, Make your todo list and more with the windows mobile.
d. Work Offline: Reviewing Word Documents or Making minor changes / correction to Spreadsheets and Documents make up most part of our day to day use of Microsoft Office. Microsoft Office mobile on windows allows us to do just that, at your own time, when you are free or travelling / waiting for your train.
Further more you can use the normal features you would find on a phone like a camera, use google maps or play music (on Windows Media Player).
